To celebrate the arrival of Cartier: The Exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia, David was invited by e.g. etal Director, Emma Goodsir, to create a limited edition jewellery collection for the NGA gallery store. This new collaboration gives visitors the opportunity to trace the links between traditional jewellery and contemporary versions of the art form, and to take home a piece of handmade design. The pieces were designed with conceptual links to some of Cartier’s most famous themes, from the refined architectural lines of the Art Deco period. David Parker’s new collection celebrates the ground-breaking aesthetic shifts that occurred in fashion, jewellery, art and architecture during this period, incorporating semi-precious stones such as onyx and green quartz, bringing the colours of the era to life.
