The Staff Ring was one of the few ideas David had while watching a movie one day, a structure appeared on the screen and he immediately thought  - That would make a great setting. From there he had to refine the proportions and marry it to a band in such a way that both elements complemented each other. Achieving this proved somewhat difficult as the vertical nature of the setting was difficult to tame, but the result speaks for itself
