The Brilliant Solitaire Ring originated as a series of ideas designed to bring the four claw aesthetic  into a contemporary context. The idea centred around the use of a large brilliant cut diamond, hence the name, and bringing the setting and band together in a homogenous manner rather than simply adding one on top of the other. The claw structure and security of the stone is paramount to this design and allows the stone to be set into a low profile position without losing its prominence. This concept has spawned many imitations, however in David's opinion, the original is still the strongest.
